"Dominated the hit outs." - Gavin Brown

"Double teamed"- Gavin Brown

Goldy would get 2 possessions and 4 hitouts and you would still rave on about him like he hasn't missed a beat lol

He "was" elite. Its in the past, the guy deserves respect for sure and IMO he played a big part in our success in 2014/2015 but his form has been awful for over a year now and is still putrid to this day

There is no sugar coating it

This Goldstein was putrid last year bullshit has got to stop.
Look he wasn't putrid, but as Horizon_00 pointed out, he had a sharp drop off in form after Rd 10. Was he carrying an injury after round 10? I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year.
I expected him to be back to his best this year but he appears to be the same or regressed a bit more. Its understandable why people would ask the question of him.

His 14/15 and start of 16 seasons were phenomenal.

Dicks absolutely everywhere. Clearly the best ruckman in the game. Clearly.

Then, his form fell away. To the point of him being dropped. A fall from grace almost unseen in its speed.

First 10 rounds he was unbelievable

The best ruckman I have seen. Ever. Until he mysteriously stopped training, got injuries and had some personal issues. Form dropped week by week since then
Also coincided with NM strength and conditioning coach leaving for the NBA last year.

Fancy ozzy posting in a Goldstein thread? ;)
I think Ive been quite good......recently. I just scratched under the surface and watch how people (players ) react to certain situations and offer my opinion. I felt it was wrong to pay ruckman overs when other clubs were picking up No.2 ruckman from other clubs for a song and us focusing on paying midfielders and forwards top coin.

You do notice we're up to our eye balls in Dusty and Kelly dont you ?? ;)

Snake_Baker I just don't understand how you routinely bag the likes of Dumont, who is 22 and had 28 disposals last week (averaging 20+ for the year), and at the same time attempt to somehow make excuses for Goldy being absolutely flogged around the ground (and matched in the ruck) by Mark ****ing Pittonet in the VFL. Yes, he used to be elite, but Majak (all 194cm, 31 games of him) is rucking significantly better than him at the moment, you'd have to be blind not to see how badly out of form Goldy is. Absolutely no way he comes back in off the shit he served up in the VFL. Also, you really expect Gavin Brown to come out in a video and say "Goldy was shocking against a shit ruckman"??

Im not sure where his logic applies in this instance, considering you can't go two up in a ruck contest.
Unless of course he means that Goldy went up against Vickery and Pittonet on his own. If so they go 59 hitouts to 52. Actually McKay got 2 so thats 59 to 54.

Both Pittonet and Vickery got more pill around the ground that Todd too.

He's struggling. Its ok to admit it.

he was in the bests.
LOL

I'm sorry, if he comes back in after 8 disposals in the VFL, there was no point of dropping him in the first place. I have a feeling Goldy doesn't want to be playing for us anymore (mentally shot or could be traded)

Watch us get flogged by the clearances if he comes back in. It made a hugeee difference not having him in, labouring around in the middle and walking to contests. If you can't see that, then you never will ;)
