Who would have thought.....a contested mark is a contested mark, great time for him to pluck one. I hope it thrusts him into doing it more.
Now that Ive got the bad stuff out of my system today.........Being a perennial bagger I thought that the Golden one was terrific , how many over head marks did he take today, I thought I counted 4 ---> this is what I been screaming for in a ruck man all this time it just adds another dimension to his game when he does it it also make players down the ground ( for and against to rethink when seeing Goldy there ready to take a grab) more of this Todd and AA will be yours.

Absolutely agree - looked like he set himself to change the game. There was one ruck contest where he was mouthing off to Jacobs before the throw in, then took it out of the air and dished off to a runner, like a boss. Bring the arrogance Goldy!

As goldie's 2nd biggest critic I think he was really good (he was in the NAB too).

It's as though he's woken up a realised he's a big guy that can exert some physical presence (maybe the big mark against Geelong has given him a hell of a lot of confidence). He takes contested marks now and he looks like he does it easy too.

Very impressed by his effort.

A couple of his taps that led to Adelaide clearances were a bit skewiff, however he was dominating in the ruck taps, and was proving to be quite the presence around the ground.

And contested marking??? WTF?? Who is this bloke now?

Dal from the defensive goal square to Goldy just outside 50 (twice completed of three attempts I might add) was about the only time for the entire game we broke through their press.

Thought to myself, jeez that'll be handy come finals, hope he can keep this up.

Geez if he marks the ball like that consistently then he will be the clear number 1 ruckman in the game, and i don't want to hear about that over-hyped fella out west...
