Looking like the most dominant ruckman in the league. Probably been our best midfielder as well this year. Has an inane ability to read the play, he can be an out and out star if he continues to play with intensity.

The marketing department's getting in early preparing their commemorative Goldy signed "members" for next season's member packs.

They tried to do the same thing with Nahas this season but Australia Post didn't have a big enough parcel bag to be able to send it out to everyone.

It's still a midfielders award.
That may be true, but it's not like it would be unprecedented to see a dominant ruckman win it. Saying that it's 'silly' is over the top.

Premature, perhaps. But if he continues this form throughout the season you would be the silly one to discount him.

Polled votes in only 1 game last year and 3 the year before. Being a dominate ruckman and doing well in club b'n'f votes does not translate to Brownlow votes.

Happy to be wrong but a precedent has been set.

You mean the precedent of ruckmen winning (polling the most votes in) the Brownlow, as illustrated above?

Goldstein's form the last couple of years hasn't been linear. He's been patchy. He has been dominant this season and if he continues this form (the big if, and the reason why ruckmen haven't gone close in recent times) he will be worth consideration. That's not a silly comment.

What a first month to the 2015 season this man has had. He has been HUGE. Absolutely loved his game vs Geel. Fair to say if he keeps up this level of performance, he'll be AA at years end. He is now taking a few contested marks per game & his work at ground level has been most impressive.
As I was told here many moons ago "Big men take time".
