Mason Wood has a lot of potential as a third tall imo, great squad there though

Regardless, he's one of the best pound for pound marks in the comp, let alone under 23 players, gets in ahead imo.

What? Docherty is in AA contention and has been much better than McDonald.

I would have McDonald over Jake Kolo and Jack Martin though... Shown more at the AFL level than these guys.

I'd argue his apparent inconsistency is more due to playing in a team that barely gets the ball forward. Hopefully next season we can see some more Razzmatazz.

However, he is far behind a few others on this list.

Not even competing with Stringer or Petracca for positions on the ground. Completely different players.

Very depressing.

Dumont and McDonald would both be worthy inclusions in this squad, Wood only misses by a month, Brown misses by a year and we have plenty of draft picks showing good signs in the VFL (Mountford, Clarke, Vickers-Willis, Preuss and Hibberd for example).

You might be right - i havent seen much of carlton play this year. It was just that McDonald had a fantastic debut year and was very good at the start of the year but has been injured for the past 6-8 weeks.

I just cant see Viney not being in there. Id have him before Merrett, Crouch and Wines based on this year.

The teams can vary quite significantly if depending on whether you're picking based on this year or whether you're looking toward the future.

on this year I wouldn't have KK or stringer in the side, but both would be stiff to miss if i'm looking to project further ahead.

There's a few backlines posted here that are very undersized IMO

No disrespect to Andrews at all, but having him in there over Aliir is a headscratcher.

Heeney will be a superstar but his output is overrated. Even if he does take some spectacular marks, 14.89 disposals and 1.32 goals per game isn't amazing. He's played three or four great games this season and had little influence in most of the remaining ones.
