If Daniher wasn't the worst set shot at goal in history I'm sure he'd be a lock. You are being ultra anti Essendon, you have even got Peter Wright in ahead of Daniher lol.
Merrett will be one of the first mids picked in this team, anyone leaving him out is absolutely clueless.

If Daniher was such a shit player you would've thought Moore or Wright or Stringer would've kicked more goals than him this season. Oh well.If Daniher wasn't the worst set shot at goal in history I'm sure he'd be a lock.
Reading comprehension? I said he was a terrible set shot at goal, not a terrible player. I even said if he could kick straight he'd be a lock...If Daniher was such a shit player you would've thought Moore or Wright or Stringer would've kicked more goals than him this season. Oh well.

I'm fairly sure that Cloke never resorted to kicking snaps from set shots directly in front, but whatever floats your boat. He's not the worst shot in history. However, I can think of a bloke on your side who is.

He's a lock regardless.Reading comprehension? I said he was a terrible set shot at goal, not a terrible player. I even said if he could kick straight he'd be a lock...
I'm sure Daniher could've kicked a drop punt from 15m out. He's an excellent field kick but needs to realise he has a natural arc to his set shot ala Buddy Franklin. If he adapts to that he'll be a decent shot.I'm fairly sure that Cloke never resorted to kicking snaps from set shots directly in front, but whatever floats your boat.

Quite a few people seem to disagree. He's a lock regardless.
Yep. He's a rubbish set shot. He's not under 22 though, so he's kind of irrelevant to the discussion aside from being a deflection from Danihers god awful kicking by butt.hurt Essendon supporters.Cloke just continues to stab at the ball and miss wide every time.

Disagree without any basis other than 'oh he's a shit set shot' and 'he plays for Essendon and they're shit'. Cloke was a well-deserved All-Australian despite being a shit shot at goal.Quite a few people seem to disagree.

For AA centre half forward. And if he adapts he'll be a lock.

I don't think that I ever said anything about Essendon being shit? You're just imagining things now...Disagree without any basis other than 'oh he's a shit set shot' and 'he plays for Essendon and they're shit'. Cloke was a well-deserved All-Australian despite being a shit shot at goal.
Lets hope for his sake he adapts then. At this point though, it looks like he's going to have a frustratingly Cloke-esque type career. For AA centre half forward.
Not you but other posters have put forth that Essendon players aren't deserving of spots because of how many wins we've had this season. Daniher will do much more in his career than Cloke. Cloke probably could have snagged a couple more AA's if he wasn't such an awful set shot at goal. Funny that...

I'm not sure why you even initially felt the need to include the 'Essendon are shit' bit in response to my post specifically, but at least you've backtracked. I agree that quality youth and wins for the season are mutually exclusive in this case. Not you but other posters have put forth that Essendon players aren't deserving of spots because of how many wins we've had this season. Cloke was already near his best by that point in his career. Thanks to the type of player he his we won't see the best of Daniher until he is 27 or so - but it'll be worth the wait for Bomber fans. He's off to a slow start in that regard, by Joe's age Cloke already had a B&F in the bag in a side that narrowly missed out on making a grand final, whereas Joe couldn't even knock a star like Shaun McKernan out of your top 10 last year..

I said 'near' his best, not that he was already peaking.Incorrect. Cloke was at his best in 2010 to 2013 which is a few years after that. 2011 and 2013 (his AA years) the standouts. 2007 was a bit of a surprise in that he won the B&F, but was very good in a good side. Joe has been OK in a poor side.
I don't even know what this means.
