Burton - Lever - Hunt
McGrath - Andrews - Mills
Merrett - Darcy - Heeney
Curnow - Hipwood - Billings
Fantasia - Wright - Papley

F: Petracca - Kelly - Cripps
I/C: McDonald - Bontempelli - Crouch - Moore

Based on this year, not a 'best players under 22' but more so an All Australian with a ceiling of age 22.

Went overseas for the majority of the season so you know.
I'm guessing that's why you left Oliver out of the side. The only explanation is not having watched much footy this year. Top 10 in betting markets for the Brownlow.

Watched almost every game with the exception of the last two rounds, I don't think it's unreasonable to leave Oliver out.

McGrath - Andrews - Lever
Burton - Barrass - Mills
Heeney - Wines - Merrett
Papley - Curnow - Billings
Fantasia - Hipwood - Wright
Darcy - Kelly - Oliver
Hunt - Crouch - Bont - Taylor

Would have Petracca ahead of Billings and Taylor if he were available as a forward

Nice diss of Sean Darcy. Freo plays a fair proportion of average young players but he was a great get in the draft. Big boy who doesn't have very good fitness but he came in and didn't look out of place. Isn't intimidated, knows how to tap it down, and kicks a few goals and works well around the ground. Unlike Aaron Sandilands he can actually hold onto a mark and not just dish it straight off to a player standing nearby... pretty adept, confident ruck. Will be interesting to see how he goes by the time he hits the ceiling for this 22-Under-22 team.

Freo fans very defensive of Darcy lol
No there's just this notion he is in there by default, when in reality he's done pretty well. He's essentially been a lone ruckman in a bad side.

If you want to ask some other Freo fan on here who says Hayden Crozier is good, they'll say I'm someone who 'hates the club' or something. I'm not just defending him because he's a Freo player. He's quite simply a pretty decent ruckman as is and looks to have a good base level, pretty natural out there, he just needs to be able to run out more than about a quarter.

Based on this year you couldn't have Petracca and Cripps is side, the 7 midfield spots are very obvious Merrett Oliver Bontempelli Wines Heeney Kelly Crouch
Agree.
Cripps has fallen behind some out and out guns in the midfield and missing games has hurt him.
Im stuffed at how Petracca is listed as a mid when he plays predominately as a forward. If he was listed as a forward i would have him in, but not as midfielder

To be fair, he pretty much is in there by default based on the squad. The fact that he is the default one is a compliment in itself because it's saying he's head and shoulders above the rest of competitors in his age bracket.

Relax.

I wasn't dissing him, just noting he was the only player I could actually pick to be ruck seeing as I already had Wright up forward. He's good.

Sorry but how did Daniel Rioli make it over Christian Petracca?
Peter Wright is also a poor choice at ruck. He didn't play a whole season but Sean Darcy was a clear selection for me.[/QUOTE]

Petracca was only eligible as a midfielder. Poor call as he easily warranted a spot in the 22 if he was eligible as a forward (where he spent most of his time this year).

Fair enough with your Wright call too. I don't think 8 games is enough games to warrant a spot in the 22, so I have no issues with them selecting no rucks

If they were picking only a forward for last position, surely Lewis Taylor warrants a selection over Rioli?
