The Hawks have 22 players on their list aged 24 or younger. This is what those 22 names look like if put on a team sheet:

From Hawthornfc.com.au

22 under 24

FB: Harry Morrison (18y/o, 1 game) Kaiden Brand (23, 28) Blake Hardwick (20, 20)

CHB: James Sicily (22, 44) Kurt Heatherley (22,5) Ryan Burton (20, 24)

C: Conor Glass (19,6) Jaeger O’Meara (23, 50) Billy Hartung (22, 63)

HF: Ollie Hanrahan (19,0) Tim O’Brien (23, 34) James Cousins (19,3)

FF: Kade Stewart (20,7) Mitchell Lewis (18,0) Teia Miles (20,4)

R: Marc Pittonet (21,3) Tom Mitchell (24, 87) Daniel Howe (21, 33)

INT: Dallas Willsmore (22,2) Kieran Lovell (20,2) Conor Nash (19,0) Jonathan O’Rourke (23,18)

Over 24:

Stratton. Frawley. Burgoyne
Duryea. Schoenmakers. Birchall
Smith. Shiels. Henderson
Gunston. Vickery. Breust
Puopolo. Roughead. Rioli
McEvoy Langford. Whitecross

Ceglar

Of course we have already lost Fitzpatrick. Hodge. Gibson and a couple of others

Sort of illustrate how young the team has become really quickly. Only Rough remains from Clarkos first day at the Hawks the 2015 premiers were the oldest premiers ever

I remember we missed finals in 2009 and in pre season 2011 the young team beat the old one in a scratch game. I reckon that game would be competitive right now

Although if there are 15 first team 'locks' I'd say 10 still come from the over 24, as it probably should be

But Pess says his post was from the HFC website. But the question is who wrote it first? Perhaps Pess is Jackson Paine.

I took it from Hawthornfc.com.au. It's the same thing. My point is discussing the age split

The over 24 (25 actually). Is the rest from the website. I don't think I'll be filing for a patent in a hurry. The IP is negligable

This season 12 of the regulars came from over 25 and 11 from the under 25

Ideally the split would be 15:7. A year or so older will deliver that

Are we convinced the team is on the up with the youth we have?

Pretty hard to go up from premierships and multiple grand final experiences...
However if you mean will we rebound into contention after our fall this year, based on the youth on the list, the royal we says yes we are convinced.

The youth displayed many times in the second half of the season that despite their lack of experience, they could out-perform many other established players and teams. Our kids will only get better, which is an excellent position to be in.
And we will add more.
