Definitely not as ready as we would have hoped.

If it's a case where Tarrant and Thompson are both available for round two, then I think we should just adjust our structures and give him some more time in the VFL. This might have already been the plan anyway, as given we're no longer allowed to start with 7 back (as we often did last year) it makes the most sense to cut the extra tall.

Pulling the trigger way too early JB.....he needs to be eased into the frying pan. But due to Tazza and Majak out of the picture and throw in Thommo wk1 along with "Sharp knives Durdin" I think he is feeling the pressure at the moment , you caught a quick glance of it on TV today when he dropped that mark. His facial expression said it all. He needs to loosen up and play instinct footy, to me its obvious he aint doing it ATM.

Simply put, he's lucky that we have so many key defensive issues early in the season because as it stands, he hasn't earned his spot.

Maybe there was a reason he didn't get a gig last year.
