I have a good feeling about Blake.
Just something about the kid screams "200+ gamer".
I have the same feeling... sorry if it doesn't eventuate, just blame me.

We're due some luck, if this bloke and Hugo are ticks, as they bloody well could be (not particularly warming to Ducker-Dovaston at this stage) then, get the **** out of our way.

We're coming through.

I had the same feels from watching training live. Dov didn't really stand out albeit only one session. Neither did JK or Banch for that matter. Was super impressed with BT. There was a couple of running blocks throughout the session and Mikunda nailed both.

His highlights have this strange mixture of feeling like you're watching early J McGovern, Weitering and Andrews. I absolutely know that they are 3 of the best defenders in the last 10 years and I'm not saying he will become any of them. But his lankyness, ball reading, marking and general strength in the contest just has such positive potential. Really excited to see him develop

I think he will become a gun

I agree actually, something about him
You can tell when a player has it.. he definitely does, couple that with a great attitude and it’s a recipe for success.

Will be a star. Bookmark it.

Nailed it with the comparison to McGovern, especially with his marking. The long limbs, and the floating jump style matches Gov’s technique

Like most young bigs he will need time to develop an AFL body but like Trembath at the other end you can see the ‘want’ which drives the work rate which drives improvement and ultimately delivers performance. We have guys who have maybe slightly better natural tools (Dawson at the back, Duursma up front) who have yet to show the same hunger. I hope the high effort guys can just drive the standard upwards. We still see more guys jogging about in the training videos than I am comfortable with.

2020s Effort 23:

B: Archer Pink McDonald

HB: Scott Comben LYoung

C: Lazzaro Parker Tucker

HF: Drury Darling Turner

F: Curtis Trembath Konstanty

R: X Wardlaw Phillips

IC: Howe FOS Daniels Sheezel (on bench due to defensive efforts last year; potentially injury-related), Banch

It's such a shame so many names from the current 23, or best 23 at the time, do not come to mind here. Is it really that difficult to find blokes with dogged endeavour as well as shitloads of talent, or to at least imbue an appreciation for effort amongst the playing group? Curtis is the only one at the club who's seemingly turned around his attitude without the ball completely. The rest of them either came into the club with that innate resolve, or chug along, and have done for years. The LDU footage was nice but he doesn't have the fire-and-brimstone in him either. Give me Rowell or Newcombe over him in a decisive GF centre bounce every day of the week

Was expecting Sheezel like planning and preparation prior to the commencement of the 2026 season. Pathetic.
Move on.

Kidding

That explains the extra SSP spot. Pity, actually think he was a bit of a shot at a backline role (playing smaller) due to his agility this year if a few players had injuries.

Is this what Daniel Wells had when someone fell on his foot?

Do most Lisfranc injuries require surgery for best outcome ?
I'm not sure what the protocol for athletes is but if it's unstable they will put in hardware. But it often takes a long time to work out if surgery is needed.

All the peeps I rehabbed with would complain about not being able to push off from their toes after surgery etc. It's a prick of an injury. Most of them were at the rehab clinic before I went there and were still going after I was done.
