Put him on the LTI and let him spend the year in the gym, building strength. Been plenty of talls who haven’t played early and it’s done them a world of good (Thilthorpe, Darcy etc).

If it’s Lisfranc and 4-5 months, 0 point rushing him back for 6-7 games at end of the year without any setbacks.

Also allows us to add another SPP to help the back 6.

No one I've known with a Lisfranc has been the same after. Ffs. He's young, hopefully best case outcome for him is realized.
Noah from GC had it in u16's basketball with VM and seems to have recovered well. Fingers crossed for Blake.

Hmmmmmmm.

A Lisfranc injury involves damaged ligaments or fractured bones in the midfoot, often caused by twisting falls, sports injuries, or direct trauma that displaces metatarsal bones. Symptoms include intense midfoot pain, swelling, inability to bear weight, and bruising on the sole of the foot. Treatment ranges from non-weight-bearing immobilization (for mild cases) to surgical realignment (for instabilities), with recovery often taking up to one year.

We don't know what's wrong with the Warlord and Thredgold wasn't a factor this year.

We're stacked, Chip, get on board.

Nup it's all over and you know it. The dream is over, dead before March this time (normally it's early April). We couldn't have had a worse day, if we were planning with every sinew of our being to, on that particular day.

They're pushing it.

You're a disappointment, Chip. Expected better.

Micky, I love you greatly, but when will this nightmare endeth?

You can't even have a lazy Friday playing shit golf with a mate and not be a little bit taken aback by the goings on of today.

Questions will need to be answered.

Hey now, Chip

How long's he out?

Put him on the LTI, give him the keys to the gym and see him in'27.

If he's fit earlier, I'm sure someone else will be injured by then.
Trouble is all your power comes from your lower body mate.

How can you deadlift and squat heavy, do Olympic lifts, plyometrics, etc. if your foot is ****ed?

Sure he might hit some curls and bench press (even that uses a fair bit of the foot) and gain some weight but it's not going to be very functional.

Good to see North’s injury curse continuing. Gutted for the kid who had done the almost impossible in having pretty much everyone on here think he came across as a great kid who is genuinely excited to be with us, so we wished him nothing but the best. We really should have seen this coming!

Lisfranc's can be nasty.
It's what Wellsy had when Petrie stood on his foot.

Non-surgical healing looking at 3-6 months. If it needs surgery it could be over a year before he can return to anything resembling contact sport.

Curls get the girls.

I'm sure you're right. What else can you do other than give him time to recover? If it's 3, 6, 12 months so be it.

I should clarify, with surgical fix he COULD be back training in 6mo. But not unheard of to be a year+

Sadly injuries are part of the game which happens to every other team every year This is the reason why we just can't go silly when delisting players each year.
