Imagine how injury prone you have to be to have someone say they have more confidence in Myers's body than yours?
As someone pointed out a couple weeks back, some of Myers' injuries have just been pure bad luck such as shoulder & finger.

Myers' influence is very underrated outside the club. He's a huge in.

Good he will be back next week.

Also, don't think it was an error, really. Was no-one else on the LTI when he was put on it and we ended up upgrading Smack for round 1.

Not sure why he was on the LTI list at all, we haven't needed his spot to upgrade a rookie...
We did it a week too late is all. It was an 8 week injury and we put him on it after a week. It was a smart move, for me if anybody has an 8+ week injury they automatically go on it IMO just in case someone like Long or McNeice can play.

“I’m actually right to play next week but the doctor mucked up the long-term injury list rules being senile,” Myers jovially told Krock Football on Sunday. lol

Wasn't Bruce Reid supposed to leave Essendon at the end of last season?

Says we put him on after 3 days, but you're right. Good that he recovered in the earlier range predicted and better to have the list spot that we did so mckernan could play (can't predict another LTI)

As frustrating as it is, for a guy like Myers it might not be a bad thing for him to put in a solid two weeks of training and come in for Anzac Day.

I'd prefer Myers did that rather than come in underdone. Another big body around the ball or even a bigger kick from HB would be so good right now. Miss Hibbo's peg.

That fact he stuffed up some basic paper work means his time is up as a club doctor time to get a fresh face in.
I don't think it was a stuff up really - he was out for 6 weeks so they elected to free up a spot for McKernan by putting him out for 8 weeks. Ultimately we were able to play McKernan in ruck aiding in wins in r1-2 when no other ruckman was available/fit. If they didn't LTI Myers then with Bellchambers, draped and Leuenberger all unavailable/unfit who'd have played?

McKernan was upgraded for Laverde. I'm pretty sure Ridley was also on the LTI list before Myers was.

Good for SuperCoach, but as an Essendon supporter pretty shit. It's 2017, you can't get stuff like that wrong. Only a week so not too bad.

Neither Ridley nor Laverde were injured when Myers was placed on LTI. In hindsight they would have been able to upgrade McKernan with these two injuries but there was some merit to injury listing a guy who was set to miss 6 weeks when we had no other injuries at the time.
