The funny thing is, it's probably a clever marketing strategy, to keep morale up of both the supporting base and the player base.

Buy him a slab....really happy for him...must have been so bloody hard for these interstate lads over the last few years. Family and lifelong friends a long way away. Speaks volumes of him....and the behind the scenes work at EFC, to make him comfortable enough to continue his career with us.

lol at the flogs on the main board saying no wanted Myers will probably say the same thing when Hurley re-signs.

Idiots.
He'd be top dozen in a lot of those shit clubs those "flogs" support.

Huge signing, his defensive mid work is underrated....that cannon leg is handy as well. Plus shows real leadership qualities.

it's not one year too many. That's just... just crazy, with absolutely no basis. He's in the prime of his career, and when he's been able to perform injury free he's been outstanding.
Christ, suggesting a two year deal is not crazy. Crazy would be not signing him at all. The basis of my doubt is that he is injury prone and you even say so yourself in your post. Let's hope the year off does him some good physically.

It really is a massive re-signing..
Although he doesnt always show it, his best is matching winning good.
Loved his game against Freo when Hurls kicked 6, pure power in the middle that day..

Was going to post and say that the Age website has no news as yet, but have news on Viney and Whitfield re-signings. They just posted 5 minutes ago in a brief mention in an article under the heading of "Mark Jamar in contention.." Must hurt these guys.

If my theory is correct we are gunna get one hell of a signing next week, because you can bet North are going in raw with no lube this weekend
I really don't want to read things like "competitive against Carlton" or "smashed by Collingwood"
