Ah yes the old wouldn’t get a game for any other side moan. Love that one. Surprised it took this long.
It's a real thing, being a senior player or in the leadership shouldn't guarantee him or anyone a game. We will continue to be a bottom 8 club with this attitude.

I thought we were taking a step in the right direction when we dropped Stanton, something I thought we would never have the balls to do.

Didn't notice him too much tbh, until he copped that boot anyway.

19 possessions, 10 contested, 13 handballs with only 130 metres gained. To me, those stats indicate that he did his job as an inside player. Winning the ball in packs and dishing out the handball.

Not a star by any stretch, but as it always appears to be an Myers vs Langford arguement (on here anyway), would Langford have done any better? I personally don't thinks so.

Dishing out handballs is what you want from him. When you have quality players all around you definitely want to be using the ball and using it well.

Biggest knock on Dave from me is he throws it on his boot too often which rarely allows a quality ball inside 50 to advantage. There is a time for bombing it forward when there are no options...but looking for our quality distributors in tight should be his main focus and first thought.

Did what he had to do. Looked to be back on the pace of the game and was pretty strong inside. If he brings this every week then there is no issue.
agree. he wasn't grabbing the highlights but was doing his job.
Langford needs to learn to do what he's doing. until then, ill change my tune - Myers stays in.

That's true, but I'd add his limited ability to handball in as a close second. He is one of the more awkward looking handballers for an inside mid in the comp.

If he can stay fit and run games out properly he's helpful for us because he is one of our few defensively-conscious mids.

I hope it works out because it'd be nice if it did. More games like yesterday will help his cause.

I have read he has a broken nose?
If so i cant see him getting up for Norf. The fears around concussion lately migjt make them cautious (not saying he has one, but having a kick in the face wouldnt help)
