I was just gonna say, Hurley's a better bet in my eyes, dem foot skills.

At time of writing Zac Merrett was listed as 'Watchlist'...I'm officially upgrading that to 'yes' after seeing Licka do another hammy and Zac pick up 9 touches in just over a quarter.

Back to Dave though

Agree BTG.. can see Hurley playing the 'Fletcher' role.. sweeping across HB and clearing the zone with long 60m bombs... see NAB 1 for an example :)

But back to Dave.

Myers look so goddamn fit at the moment. Shed some bulk around is hips but added some size up top and looks to be running as well as ever.

Seems a little less one dimensional in traffic too.

Very excited about what is to come.

After watching tonight i feel one of the major beneficiaries of Bomber being coach will be this man as it seems he will see plenty of onball time this year.

Bomber loved his big bodies around the footy at geelong and it brought success and it seemed Watson, Hocking and Myers were his go to onball brigade and number one brigade tonight. They are probably our 3 biggest bodied mids.

Myers with only a game in NAB is probably still some runs short in games but he got better as it went along and must bring him great confidence.

If I was in charge this guy would've gone long ago. Probably a good thing I'm not in charge. Bags and Hooker could be gone too. Patience really is a virtue. We need up remember to give players time. We need to remember this before we begin to write off guys like Kav or NOB.

A reason why i gave him 2 or 3 votes for his performance. Certainly the beneficiary of the Bomber big bodied mid theory. Spending plenty of time alongside Jobe and matching him in the clearances.

Thoroughly impressing me each time he steps out.

In the past 2 years he has jumped from the clouds to become a key rotation in our midfield.

Increased minutes will increase your output I suppose

Love seeing this guy get some real time in the middle. Has always had the tools to be a clearance king, now Bomber's given him license to use them. This form alongside Watson and Dyrsn Herple makes for good times ahead.
