Jack suggested Jacob might have suggested he had a look i.e panicked because Weitering was closing on him. Jack said given how bad was, maybe he did have a look.

Everyone thinks he was sarcastically telling him how close his kick was. Maybe he was saying 'you shit yourself just a little', which would be even better.

Most people keep talking about Weitering as the 3rd tall, however, will his position in the team eventually be FB or CHB, taking the best or 2nd best forward?
Will he naturally develop and take over those positions?

Is Jacob the best first year player that we've had under the current system? Since Camporeale?

Were any of Gibbs, Murphy and Kreuzer better? I was living overseas at the time so didn't get to see much of their first years.

Murphy was pretty damn good in a terrible side. Went down early in his 13th game for the year but was averaging almost 20 disposals per game in the first 12 and he played big minutes. Averaged 7 CPs, 2
5 clearances, 6 marks, 2 tackles, 1.5 goal assists, 4 I50s and kicked 8 goals. He was very impressive.

Agreed. Murphy was fantastic in his first 12 games & would most likely have won the Rising Star award if Copeland hadn't destroyed his shoulder.

Only two games in and hard to say if he'd be the absolute best on raw performance numbers alone, but his combination of leadership, composure, skills and footy smarts especially for an 18 year old tall is just ridiculous. In my mind he is the true Full Package (sorry Stringer, you're just the package)
