I only learnt about this recently: the AFL and Champion Data run the player profiles on the club websites. (I might be years behind on this news!)

A few club websites have recently started to put this disclaimer on their pages:

Why then are some clubs squad lists so much more up to date than others?

Only some would care . T. Mac would've probably been listed as that

Great he’s training well and impressing yet I’m Still not convinced. needs to find the footy and has bust written all over it for mine.

Poor mans Kai Lohmann.

At least not long to go before we find out.
Kai Lohman has 2 premiership medals !

I feel like the club is really bullish about Ned so clearly there is something they see day to day. Just need it to translate on field.
Keeps coming back to having a well-coached decent functioning VFL side. What's the saying?
"A rising tide lifts all boats".

They had a video of his highlights in the match sim/trainibg, predominantly chasing and hassling, not actually getting the ball which was his issue last year

Not overly concerned about Ned, at least not additionally concerned over development issues that come with fielding a non competitive VFL side at times.

Thought he was the wrong type and speculative for medium forward when drafted but needs to be given more than first year, in OUR reserves side, especially with an interrupted start.

We did need medium forward depth, even with Hayward, however with King, Chamberlain and Phillipou we might have some other options in future, albeit at the top and bottom ends of medium forward range. Still, the academy guys are pretty mobile.

So if Bowman plays half back/wing that might be fine, he looked better there as noted by others. We have lost or are about to lose a bunch of half back or hybrid HB/med defender types. E.g. Vickery, Mitchell, Florent, Fox, Leidler, Paton, Lloyd. Especially if he and Bice can defend decently as well.

Brilliant athlete, uses the ball incredibly well and really showed a lot when through to a HBF role last year in the VFL (A role that he had never played as a junior).

Obviously very coachable and when combined with his traits and exciting prospect.
