Dane Rampe

Player Profile

Dane Rampe was denied at several drafts and didn’t land a spot on an AFL list until the age of 22. But ever since being rookie-listed in November 2012, the key defender has seized his opportunity. Rampe made his AFL debut in Round 1, 2013 and played his 150th match in 2019. He’s an All Australian, an emergency for the greatest NSW team of all time and a Bob Skilton medallist, and he’s led the Swans as a co-captain with Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker since 2019. It doesn’t matter if the opposition’s best forward is a tall or small; so versatile and reliable is Rampe that he’s always assigned to the toughest task in defence. Draft history: 2013 Rookie Draft selection (Sydney) No. 37; 2013 AFL draft rookie elevation (Sydney) selection No. 90.

Whoever approved Rampe playing after the first break can **** right off
Players that are o desperate to play + coaches desperate to play them. Has happened a lot this year with a few different players in a few different clubs. Would like the AFL to formally review injury protocols and maybe force the opinions of independent doctors.

Happens all the time with us. Buddy in 2018 plays 19 games with **** all training. Don't forget the number we did on Hanners as well

Who would think playing with a broken hand would uhh lead to a broken hand!

Far out....we can't seem to catch a break can we

has to be Maibaum or Gould that comes in.
It can't be Gould - we need a proper tall to replace Sir Ramps . I hope it's Maibaum and not just swapping in AA. If we need both then so be it, but Maibaum should be given a shot.
Sorry our club played him with a broken hand, but the GWS win was pretty tasty by the same token.
