That's what we expect from Greenwood in the 15-20 range, but as you know, dealing with Collingwood is a bitch, l would rather trade with St Kilda. They seem to think 23 will seal the deal, they're frankly dreaming.
When was the last time Nth and Collingwood have dealt with each other

Every player who has asked for a trade from Collingwood has got to there destination in the last 15 years

Hopefully we'll be in the 2015 winning grand final without Levi just like we won the 1999 grand final without Glenn Freeborn

Yeah Collingwood's had great successes with guys they've pilfered off North over the years....

Graham Atkins-

Bruce Abernathy

Glenn Freeborn

Adrian McAdam

I'd suggest Collinwood is where North players go for their careers to die.;)

Interested in this, as i understand the nomination only means that his preferred club would be Collingwood, it doesn't cause any limitations to our options?

From the Pies board, a few seem to think they have us over a barrel now and it's "what we decide, or piss off", hence the ridiculous low-balling going on.

From all accounts Levi isn't interested in ******* over the club, just interested in the added money and security of the Collingwood offer (as he has a right to be interested in) and the defined position there in the midfield. If they come in swinging with a late 2nd round pick, I would hope that he doesn't force the issue, and leaves the possibility of a change of mind open, such as the Dogs 2 2nd round picks >> Levi and our 3rd round pick
Basically Levi doesn't get to pick where he goes... per se.

He can nominate all he wants but it doesn't mean we have to get him there.

Collingwood do not "have us over a barrel" in any way shape or form.

We can still let Levi walk into the draft and nominate his price of which all reports point to the dogs being able/willing to match the figure (in fact exceed the figure) outlined by Collingwood within its offer.

What Levi CAN do is refuse to be traded to a club, we couldn't force him to Brisbane for example, so he could just say no to being traded to the other 16 clubs, after which we can choose to take nothing rather than being lowballed and see Levi picked up by a bottom 3 team who would be frothing at the proverbial over him.

Isn't this the issue though:

If we do the same thing as we did with Ball and his contract is 1.8 Mil over 4 years he will throw a 700K per year over two year price tag on his head then pay the last two at 200K a year. The PSD is too easily maniputlated and needs to be changed.

The other thing I took from that interview that hasn't been mentioned is that Levi still wasn't confident of his place in our midfield.
Pickering said, and it might've been missed, that we offered, in order, 1 year with a 1 year trigger, 2 years with a 1 year trigger, and finally 3 years.
Maybe Levi is thinking he doesn't have the game time once Higgins was recruited. The way the whole situation handle wasn't professionally done. First they gave Levi a 1 year contract and give Higgins 3 years with clauses in place to get a 4th. This is totally insulting.
Ha!!!!!! I was right all along.

Yeah their list is looking a bit shit at the moment. Less premiums than ever, a smattering of potential and a fair share of hacks. Sidebottom would be ideal but that's not happening, Seedsman maybe? Kennedy could be alright. I don't know. I reckon it'll either be second rounder or Walsh makes him march into the PSD.
Reid would be ideal too but good luck with that haha. I like Seedsman but doubt they'll trade him and Kennedy is way unders and i don't really even rate him tbh. Seen some collingwood posters say they would trade Keeffe i would do that in a heartbeat.

There can be only one...
Was Walshy calling from a tropical island? Sounded like he was laid back with a margarita getting some sun while doing that interview and not fussed what is going down.
