He needs exposure at this level. Its the only way we will see if he can improve.

Thought he was pretty solid all round. He's actually looked solid whenever I've seen him in the seniors. A little laconic but seems to have no real issue getting to the right positions and making pretty good decisions.

Got to good positions, made the wrong decisions mainly through confidence eg: punched when he should’ve marked and tried to mark when he should’ve punched. Also had the release kick on a few times but took the easier safer kicks.

All in all I thought he was pretty good and is worth persisting with.

The question is, if Thompson is fit next week will they keep Durd’s in.
I agree he showed a lot more than previous, still needs to show more game sense but that should come with more games

Absolutely not, thommo has no future and our season is done! Give it to durds and let him a crack for the rest of the year

Yeah getting that way. Hawthorn just dropped roughead to the VFL. Not saying we leave Thommo there as his form has been very good, but getting to the pointy end where we need to again make some tough decisions about the list, and get games into players with an eye for the future. This will be difficult as Scott is coaching for his career.

Scotts gone! If he cares one iota then he needs to concede and start dropping and playing the future or scott needs to quit or we need to remove him from the decision making!

Must have let the ball get behind him on 6 occasions today, which is a mortal sin for a backman.

Tried hard, but still very rusty.

What you are saying is true, however he did manage to beat Ratugolea across the 4 quarters and that hip and shoulder on Rohan was text book. There better not be any repercussions from the MRO.
