Bollocks. You can't build a top 4 team by playing your best prospects in the VFL.

EVERY team in the top 4 has "best prospects" in the VFL!

Geelong is on top of the ladder and they have put 7 games into Jordan Clarke, 6 into Constable and 8 into Gryan Myers this season and all of them debuted this season.

LOL.

Geelongs depth is at a point where they don't have a freakin' choice!

Their reserves just got flogged by our previously winless 10 goal losing average reserves team on the weekend!

You're terrible at this. Go away.

Gee Dirty Durdin is stiff. I mean, I’ve watched a fair few adult movies and I’ve seen numerous instances where a raised appendage has caused a concussion, but if it’s “in play”, the show just goes on, without an eyelid being raised. I mean, should I be thanking Steve Hocking for that?

Well if Durdin goes before the Tribunal again let's hope Ron Jeremy is the Judge and not that piece of s(&t Jon Ralph that well known North hater and Board member with Roaming Brian Taylor and Nathen Brown who called for Durdin to get 2 weeks for this incident.

The whole AFL "development" angle is supercoach mentality stuff, and anything based upon that false premise falls over.

Bit of supercoach, bit of Hawthorn, bit of Richmond. Some west coast too.

I get that you are a bit old school and think blokes should earn it, but that should in an even playing field extend to the senior blokes, which you have to accept, it does not.

No one is right on this, only in 2-3 year time will we know how this strategy plays out. But you cannot with any certainty tell the supercoaches/give the talented kids a go crew that they are wrong especially as the best clubs in the comp follow that exact strategy the moment they sit in the same position as we have sat for a decade or more.

If we manage to build a top 4 team that competes in multiple home prelims and wins a flag then I personally will happily buy you and your family a membership for a decade.

But given our pillars are 30, 34, 30, 19, 26 we'd want to turn it around pretty soon.

Bollocks. You can't build a top 4 team by playing your best prospects in the VFL.

I agree with this statement wholeheartedly.

True, but their seniors managed to win 7 games doing it...

Better run, better coached, massive home ground advantage, and the 6-6-6 rule has allowed them to isolate their strengths & cover their weaknesses.

They're still in for a significant drop shortly and that will coincide with having no choice but to play kids.

The best current North 22, if properly coached, is on a par with Geelong. Probably better.

A bit late to this party but those calling for Scooter to be dropped are dreamers.

When he retires, he will leave as big a hole in defence as Waite did in our forward line. Severely underrated. He’s footy smarts are so important to our structures. Old school footballer.

Yeah, we’re not underselling Scooters ability, we’re trying to avoid the gap he’ll be leaving...

Good to see the positive reports on Sam’s form. Still not too late for him. Whilst it’s his 5th year on the list, he must of missed, what, close to half? of that time through injury. Shoulder reco, concussion, broken leg and finger at least from memory. That’s a lot of development missed for a big fella. Really hope he does make it, because we obviously need key back replacements in the near future and he has the attributes of an outstanding CHB.

Been selected.

Good opportunity for him to gain confidence against GC.

Hopefully he doesn't complete a perfectly executed, team oriented defensive effort and get rubbed out again though.

Well deserved as well, performed extremely well in the VFL last week.
