Watching Vic Country v Allies expecting either Hollands or Cowan to catch my eye but it has been Binns.

Very smart footballer who outworks his opponents. Just keeps bobbing up in good positions, and it's no accident.

Kicking the obvious flaw. It's not that he is incapable of it, moreso he seems to not think the kick through or rushes his disposal.

Fixable you would hope.

Maybe but there are a whole lot more names on that list that had actual AFL careers than the 2/3km time trial.

The thing about the 2km time trial is that it is useless unless you can find the ball. If you can it is a big plus. Read Binns had 39 possessions in the game against the Allies so knows how to rack them up.

Interesting that our first 3 picks were all AA18 while a number of the earlier picks weren't

Another thing I noticed later in that game re his kicking, he was using both feet which is why some of the turn overs were present.

I think he is a natural right footer?

I'd have to watch it again with that in mind.
