Far from our worst player. I didn’t see him quit like some of his teamates. Forward line was non existent, with too many players picking when they would go hard. That was not very often. Prior was 100% effort all the time.

No his performance week on week does that don’t really need confirmation bias when he’s still shown nothing in 9 games of football

Against the Swans a game ago he had 23 disposals, 14 marks, 497m gained.

Against the Dogs our defense was on a hiding to nothing yet he still wasn't the worst player out there.

So yeah, it's confirmation bias at work.

Thought he was good tonight, makes some very good quick decisions when it comes to passing. Stands under high balls a fair bit as well. Hopefully keeps building.

I think everyone looks good against the bottom four team, so it’s very hard to read anything into this particular game IMO. As you say, let’s see against sterner opposition. I hope for the best, but expect the worst (in this case)…

It won't happen now that Angus Clarke has screamed to the front of the queue at a rate of knots but I would have thought he is best suited to that fat side wing role, slide up and back, support the defence and try to get in behind at the far post and be a marking option.

I never really considered the possibility that he would become a regular in the back 6, not really sure I like it, he's not a natural man on man defender.

Odd thought he has had a solid patch and i wont lie i was unhappy with his first two games with us but since then i haven't really thought his been our worse but i do think his had a definite streak of solid performances at the moment

think he's benefited from the injuries unfortunately but he's a pretty solid roleplayer. does what he's asked to do with no fuss.

Hes like the anti Kelly, much better decision maker/great long kick but a bit sketchy 1 on 1. Both seem to be whipping boys though.
I think his ball use has been an asset and hopefully with more games under his belt he will get better with his defensive work, I think I have already seen small improvements as the season has gone on. Not bad for an SSP recruit.

i think a lot of it personally probably comes from being in a different environment and playing with different players. it could also be a different system defence (potentially).

Agreed, the quick ball movement has made us a totally different prospect. Often does 40 to 50m passes in a split second to our guys advantage. The opposition can no longer deliberately leave guys free like they did with Heppers and Kelly to get the ball who stifled things so they could restructure or even get the turnover. He is putting his body on the line a fair bit too. He is an instance of where Scott not dropping a guy after a couple of poor matches and giving him an extended run has paid some dividends.

Really hope he gets pushed out by Johnson when we have a fully fit side. Prior just doesn't offer much other than effort. His disposal is abysmal and he gets lost

he doesn't do the basic things well

i'm pretty sure in the first quarter, a geelong player kicked for goal and didn't make the distance and prior was there on the goal-line

so of course he dropped it and it went through for a behind. it's not a big deal except basically every game features an easy mark which he drops

Seriously **** this guy. He refuses to try take a mark even when out Infront alone, he constantly loses his feet in every contest letting his man wander off with the ball, I understand he's batting out of his weight division but there are still fundamentals, he just doseht tick any box. Comes from a long line containing Jake Kelly
