I dont see it happening (Ridley asking for a trade let alone Prior signing a long term deal) but was more a discussion point with reasoningYou really need to stop posting after 9pm.
4 years ? yeah nah.
Aren’t you one of the people who kicked up a stink over players being given unnecessarily long contracts?Wonder if the resigning announcement is down to what Ridley is going to do? Not identical players but both filling a similar round hole.
Id be happy with 2 years but perhaps a Ridley trade request could see Jaxon sign 4. Has been good to very good in the second half of the season despite how under manned the team has been
Sometimes it’s better to just not post.
Happy to admit I was wrong about this bloke, after 8-9 rounds I thought he was a dud but to his credit he defending and using the pill well.

the point was the length of Prior's contract may end up being the result of what happens with others. Find it strange that after playing every game he remains unsigned.Aren’t you one of the people who kicked up a stink over players being given unnecessarily long contracts?
kids teaching kids,Average at best.
I'd be delisting him this year with about 20 others.
No current season stats available
Gwilty as chargedHe is pretty much the new James Gwilt.
I’d have been better off watching a team other than Essendon play this season tooI must've watched a different bloke. Became more and more obvious why Brisbane let him go during the season.
Suspect defensively, routinely outbodied by those smaller than him, poor disposal, not quick and average decision making.
Didn’t Hobbs play almost the entire season yet still is unsigned?the point was the length of Prior's contract may end up being the result of what happens with others. Find it strange that after playing every game he remains unsigned.
In saying that, one was a targeted acquisition in his first year at the club whilst the other was shoehorned into a role not suitable for his skill set as a desperate attempt to get soldiers on the groundDidn’t Hobbs play almost the entire season yet still is unsigned?
He would probably be a handy pickup for the Eagles (he's from WA) - hes a unrestricted free agent, after the first couple of games for us he has been pretty solid, 50+ games experience.why? I doubt he would be batting suitors away?
the two highlighted arent true at all, his good usage was probably the reason they persisted with him when he was struggling with defensive one on ones early in season. Think he improved alot as the season went on with actual defensive work too.I must've watched a different bloke. Became more and more obvious why Brisbane let him go during the season.

He's very good at hitting the sideways kick. That doesn't make him a good user of the ball for me.the two highlighted arent true at all, his good usage was probably the reason they persisted with him when he was struggling with defensive one on ones early in season. Ok well so be it. I wouldn't give him more than 1 year extension. 2 year performance based perhaps. He looked hopeless at times, serviceable at others. He would probably be a handy pickup for the Eagles (he's from WA) - hes a unrestricted free agent, after the first couple of games for us he has been pretty solid, 50+ games experience.
This. I thought I was in the wrong thread for a moment. He is chaotic in all the wrong ways - seems to panic routinely.I must've watched a different bloke. Became more and more obvious why Brisbane let him go during the season.

Prior I would have offered a 1 year deal.
But now with Lav and Ridley one foot out the door, we might need to offer 2 years.
Yeah I don't know where I stand. Agree he is oddly bad at defending 1 on 1 marking contests but would say his disposal is above average to good. He's clearly a solid athlete and has good size.
I'd probably give him another year and maybe give him a run on the wing
