Liam Reidy's move to become a Blue is now official!

LIAM Reidy will pull on the Navy Blue after joining the Blues for 2026 and beyond.

Agreeing to a deal on the second day of the 2025 Continental Tyres AFL trade period, Carlton will give pick Nos. 50 and 68 in exchange for the former Fremantle ruckman and picks Nos. 53 and 71.

Doubtful, and the "price" indicates the same. He's depth, pretty much for free.

Pitto has a solid-ish track record and the benefit of years working with our existing midfield group.

That being said - new year, new coaches, new gameplan - so not beyond the realms of possibility that Reidy comes in and gives Brad a run for his money during the preseason.

Does he play over HOK as the 5th sub? Assuming teams more likely to play 2 rucks with the removal of the sub rule.
The club sees HOK as a forward/ruck and from what i read Reidy is more of a pure ruckman.
 
A couple of pick upgrades, very nice so welcome to the Blues Liam, hope you can play a bit up forward as well.

I reckon most clubs will play the extra runner. I think HOK will be our 2nd KPF if Charlie leaves and be relief ruck.

Nah, I think if Pitto is playing as first ruck and we want another tall on the extended bench, that HOK gets the nod on versatility.

Can't have two big blokes in the 23 just playing 50% game time each in the ruck and doing F-all elsewhere.
