Instead of putting up this sort of crap, why dont you put up something creative that can suggest what trades we actually do instead of defending players who consistently give mediocre performances?

strange that he is so shyte, but not one player in our aligned clubs can push past him, oh I forgot Scott picks the team on who has a drink with him on a Monday night and not on who can produce the best for the team. silly me.

Yes silly you. And while I am at it, there will always be a punching bag in every team. Look at Geelong this week giving Tomahawk heaps and he's actually got an excuse.

Just responding in kind.

People are looking for a target at which to place their anger for another loss, but look at a singular entity instead of the whole picture. I look at the performance from Taz today and I think, shit, thats a crap game. Then I look at what Dish put up and I think shit, thats a crap game. Then I look at what Black did and I think shit, thats a crap game. Then I look at what the midfield as a whole put up and I think now I know why our three tall forwards were shit. We were dominated away from the stoppages. Forwards have crap games when the mids are dominated away from the stoppages.

You say Taz puts up nothing but mediocre performances and I think you are myopic and don't know what you are talking about. You talk about trading Taz. Fine. I'd rather we didn't until we know we don't need him because he is not a star and will never be a star. What he is a good player playing a role in a team that is sometimes sacrificial and always dependent on delivery. He has been as effective as Black has over the last month but because Black is the bright new thing we focus on the moments of promise and lambast Tarrant for his lack of output forgetting that in footy terms he has played effectively one season as a forward in a developing team with wildly varying performances and differnt game styles.

But yeah, we lost so lets ignore the big picture. Lets instead look at who had the quitest game without asking why that was the case and call for their head. Or in good ol' BF parlance, Get.Rid.Of!

I am trying to work out if you mean it is good or bad to have a punching bag at every club. Geelong Supporter have every right to be shity with Tomahawk, cause he is a big princess and I don't give a f*** what Geelong supporters do to their own.

For starters Tarrant was very ordinary today and to compare Black with Tarrant is unfair. Black is in his first year of senior football and Tarrant is not. Black actually gave us something today where Tarrant did not. Petrie had one of the best defenders of the past ten years on him and he has proven that he can win a game off his own boot, Tarrant has never won a game off his own boot. In fact I dont think Tarrant has ever kicked more than 4 goals in a game.

If you are a key tall forward and you havent kicked more than 4 goals in a game in 25 games imo you have to think about a trade if the player has got some value.

Once again you give us nothing in the form of someone to put up for trade?

Of course its good, it means all our frustrated supported have some to take our frustration on. If I was getting $500K a year and in the spotlight like these guys I would expect nothing less.

I was all excited at today's game; I thought they'd honoured some great past North great #25 with a statue out on the actual ground. I thought 'How nice, didn't hear they were unveiling something to do with our past greats'. Then I realised the game had actually started and yeah, that was Tarrant.
lol. I'd say a statue would be of similar speed and agility. In any case it would be close run thing and at least the statue would stand tall.

Goodby Hansenits, hello Tarrantists.
Good way to play the popular vote, Rudd or Abbott could use this advice. In other words, use "Hansenist" bullshit to deflect from the issue in question.

Taz has played around 23 games as forward, which is funnily enough about one full season. In that time he has kicked 3 or more goals 8 times, with 4 bags of 4. He may not have had a dominant 'break out game' but he has played a major hand in a number of victories in his first full season as a forward. Blacky has played 19 games in his career as a forward with 6 bags of 3 or more, with a highest of 5, one more than Taz's best.

Now, I am not saying that Black is going to be better than Taz or visa versa. What I am saying is that for two developing forwards why is it that one is tied to the A frame for a flogging (Zondor likes this) while the other is given a virtual ring licking when their output is similar? Not just today, which it was. All three talls were given nothing to work with and as a consequence all three had very similar days so why habe a go at Taz who has delivered as much potency up forward over the course of his career as Black?

As for Petrie, well, our acting captain tried to lead from the front but alas, the poor bugger was starved of opportunity, being a key forward and all in a team that got outplayed in the middle. But lets hold Tarrant to a higher standard today, shall we?

If you are a key tall forward and you havent kicked more than 4 goals in a game in 25 games imo you have to think about a trade if the player has got some value.
Really? Where is that written? Does this take into account playing with two other tall forwards and rotating through the full forward/CHF/lead up forward roles? Does it take into account sacrificial forward roles? Or is it based on the old FF/CHF roles? When was this rule written? 1960?

Once again you give us nothing in the form of someone to put up for trade?
Ahh, because I don't want ot trade him? Is this a suggest a trade for Tarrant thread? I hadn't realised. Let me check the OP. Nope, it's a sarcastic thread based on disappointment after another loss with a soft choice as the target.

Heres an idea. Why don't you start a thread discussing the weaknesses in the team that caused our three tall targets to be starved of opportunity today. That would be a more accurate reflection of what the issues are.

Popular vote? WTF are you on about?

I just find it amusing that the same shit keeps perpetuating at time goes on.

In 15 games Black has kicked 29 goals 18 behinds, in 10 games this year Tarrant has kicked 13 goals 8 behinds and Black is 19 months younger. The stats answer it for me.

I am wrapped we have Black and look forward to many more years of watching him develop, but it is a team sport and how many of those goals did Tarrant assist in by following team rules, I don't care who kicks them as long as they get kicked.

I like the three tall forward line and I believe the longer they play together the better they will get.

look at this if you want a better comparison of both at the same age, remembering Tarrant played the first half dozen games as a backman.

there is not alot of difference between the two.

I am not talking about that. I am saying that he should not be criticised for his form because he is playing while badly injured.

but wait Tarrant was badly injured for 10 games this year, and is still finding his fitness, or is it in the words of many a Geelong supporter "get of the park if your injured you big princess"?

What are you blind? Tarrant only beats Black on 3 of 22 stats in that comparison.
