there is a combination of these we need, we need speed, we need players like lalor and hotton and hopefully smilie and pick 3/4 that are able to deliver the ball from inside to outside, we need players then to have confidence in this, for the midfielders to spread at contests and then for back flankers and wingers to have the confidence that we will win the contest to provide run past options, instead of worrying if they do their opponent will get the ball.

get that overlap rugby option happening like we did in the glory years and good teams do now. doing that, breaks the defensive wall and allows better and easier forward entries.

easier said than done though. go tigers....

Reckon he captains next year then we let him go to captain Tassie for a couple of years. We'd get nicely compensated and would hopefully mean they're less likely to pick off one of our younger players.

Hopefully Seth does a full pre season training as a mid and Rioli comes back in shape.

Those 2 in the middle along with a fit KMac2 and Hotton and we might have quite a different midfield look in 2026. Here's hoping.

Nank won't be around for much longer and the new rules won't help him at all.

Everyone is aware that we need someone with just Ryan, OHB & Sims with Balta pinch hitting. Those names don't really inspire much confidence as full time rucks.

The Suns picked up Max Knobel on the sly last year but he's 3rd banana behind Moyle, maybe there's a chance that he could be winkled out?

We just need a backup. Somebody like a Brynn Teakle (🤮) or Peter Ladhams (double 🤮). It's not something we want to spend any money or draft capital on. A 1-2 year deal on minimum chips should be sufficient for the right player.

Wouldn't be shocked. But Nank was absolute that they were trying to add the speed into the midfield. Campbell, KMac2, MRJ and maybe others are going to play according to Nank. How much they play is another matter.

Maybe 2 center bounces a game each - Yay!!

I was responding to Tackle Bag. But maybe something to drink would help. Certainly wouldn't hurt.

I'm trying to set something up right now. And of course it's complicated with vague and imprecise rules. Might as well be the dealing with the AFL - well actually not as bad the AFL HQ.

On here, it says you responded to yourself lol.

Gosh, I hope the Curopt AFL hasn't infiltrated your account hehe

Nah I just hit the wrong post to reply to.

More my brain being absent than anything sinister ... at least I hope so.

First day post work contract and I'm having to use my wife's old laptop. My brain is not up to even it's usual 50%

I know a little trick that will help nank! Get him to wear shoe insoles …. He could easily gain 4 centimetres plus in height that way
Unfortunately Nank looks cooked. He was taken apart in the match sim.

Got to temper the reaction to Nank's game up to a point, preseason game, not going to go hard etc. I also watched the highlights of the North v Melbourne game highlights specifically how a similar and top line ruckman Xerri went in the centre bounce, and he like Nank got touched up by young springy ruckman.

So as much as this is a portent to what will happen during the season, and it may not be so good for us, it is a positive thing for the game. I remember well Mark Lee running in and dominating centre bounces with his athleticism and physicality. Moore from Collingwood, players who could run and jump and palm the ball. The scrums of players around the ball were not there, the game was faster and better.

Unfortunately we didn't see this rule change coming, so we don't have one of those sorts ready to go. OHB has the height and is improving so he might help, but not expecting much. But we would be mad not to sign up Krasnadamskis because he is the prototype young ruck of the future you'd think.
