The Knights have been at the Local council for years trying to get funding to upgrade the near 100 year old ground. I don't think crowds will go up by much, but they will improve

yep, there is no doubt that people would have turned up to stadium australia because it is a way better ground to watch football at. even though ive never been to belmore, i've heard from dogs fans that it is a horrible ground.

the trouble is, there are far too many grounds that are not up to standard IMO and hence will not attract very big crowds. we are playing half the matches at sub-standard venues suitable for club rugby matches. the example i'll use is brookvale oval. don't even bother driving the car out, unless you want to park in Dee Why or Cromer. parking in Brookvale is an absolute NIGHTMARE. add to that, the food and drink outlets are a disgrace, little huts that can barely cope with crowds in four figures, let alone 5. they still use the old turnstiles where they can't scan in tickets, they have ladies checking them and you go through a turnable gate. add to that Brookvale Oval is virtually inaccessible to anyone outside the peninsula. the only transport there is by bus, and they dont put extra buses or anything on when they are playing there. it's a cat fight to get to this ground, so no wonder people flood to grounds such as SA because the facilities are so much better (no excuse for the SFS and SCG though.
