I gather May had a good game today. Three goals is nothing to scoff at for such a young player. Excellent actually.

Made the most of his limited chances, there was a lot of 2 or 3 of Caddy, Wright and May flying for the same footy and a lot of really big packs. There was a missed high tackle at the top of the goal square, he could have had 4 in about 6 minutes.

Made of the right stuff gives a really honest contest in the air and stays involved when it hits the deck.

I’m impressed but will be ecstatic if he can stand and take contested marks a la Hooker, Hawkins (duh), even Dixon

Mobile and lead up is awesome but the foil for Caddy needs to be able to throw weight around

Would be a prick of a role for him to play atm with every Essendon player in the 50 flying for every single mark at the same time. Once we sort our shit out, work for each other and have a bit of structure he'll probably flourish. Although we probably should get used to caddy having licence to float in from any angle

Draper licking his lips, another player who’s space he can rumble into

Hit one of the fastest speeds on ground too - 31.9km per hour. Pretty good for a big kid and shows Dermott was spot on in terms of his athleticism.
pretty crazy speeds for a bloke of that size.

Has there even been a decent KPF taken in the MSD till now? If we've snagged one, it helps our rebuild so much.
Agree totally, if we've managed to find a good KPF from the MSD then that's a huge win. Normally good KPF's are the territory of top 10 draft picks and other priority picks (Father Sons/Academy etc). Definitely makes me feel a lot better about all the long term injuries we had to put up with to our talls if this is one of the outcomes. Framed a different way that's potentially a top pick or even multiple top picks we may not have to use on key forwards if he works out.

Going to be a powerful player. Once this forward group gets in sync and sorts out their positioning he will be a beast.

That kick from outside 50 was so effortless.

Time to get McMahon in as well while Langford out, don't think we will be too tall.

Crows & GC go ok being tall and you have to remember May & Caddy are good ground players too.

You don’t think Derm is enjoying the theatre of it? Wearing all black in our rooms and such

There is definitely mayo on it but it’s pretty plain to see there is actually a bit of truth to apply the mayo to.

Happy to see this kid getting a chance and kicking some goals.

Saw him in our VFL team in '23 and was keen for them to find a way to bring him onto the AFL list. Bit annoyed he ended up elsewhere but glad he's not been overlooked entirely.

Wish him the best. Will be keen to see him this weekend.

Has your vfl side got a gun small forward by any chance? Durham and May are both guns

Massimo Raso, big chance at end of the year imho

Midfielder (at Coates League) turned small fwd at VFL level and it shows.

Gets up the ground in a way that Gresham’s (best games) can
