It's gotta be worth a crack playing Hooker forward and Carlisle back for the remainder of the year. Finals are out of the question, so it can't hurt.

If Carlisle can regain his AA form, it gives us a great base to build around.

Hurley/Carlisle as tall backs.
Baguley our primary small defender.

Midfield combination of Heppell, Jobe, Goddard, Z Merrett.

Daniher/Hooker as tall forwards.
Colyer our primary small forward.

Fill in the blanks with whoever's in form. Add in a probable top 5 draft pick.

Looks pretty good on paper to me.

Huge admiration for this guy, huge. Nobody is going to go round with his number on their back but mate he is such a boss.

Week in week out beats his man, does whatever the team requires. Didn't sulk up when moved from his preferred role, he embraced it and has improved our front half for it.

I think he deserves greater kudos league wide. Nobody beats rance like he did, and he's playing out of position.

agree with your sentiment but he was recruited as a forward.

Would pick Hooker over Rance.

Its interesting to me that he is never mentioned as a potential captain....think he has been the emotional leader of the team, on-field at least, since we lot Jobe for good.

If we keep Carlisle, then we should play Hooker forward.....his ability to draw the number 1 defender will be critical to JD's development. Three goals against Rance in those conditions was a great effort.
