Thankfully Jonty appears to be a footballer who can run, rather than someone who can just run

should go up the ground more, separation from Lynch and get more one outs. Like to him kick more from up the ground to, see what happens

He didn't run 15km in the forward pocket. Got up the ground and tried to provide a contest but experienced backs know how to block and keep lightly built forwards away from the long kick, that and Gawn.

Given Armstrong is not playing, how about Grey in tandem. Equally mobile and reads the ball in the air very well. Two pronged high forwards with Lynch deep.

also wouldn't mind sims, seeing as that's where we want him in the long run, obviously not completely ready for it, but honestly, what better time to do it while nank is still healthy and sims doesn't have to shoulder a big amount of the ruck

100%, Sims may or may not become our next no.1 ruckman, but he looks like he will be a good no.2 But as you say, probably not ready yet.

I imagine he is being groomed as a ruck who can play deep forward when Lynch is no longer around or injured. Armstong, Faull and Sims. In the meantime swap Gray for Armstrong.

Keep playing the kids we had 10 today under 23 with average games of 13.6 games per player

That's why I am excited about Harry & Jonty together, I reckon they are completely different players.
Jonty will be the lead up forward and Harry more inside 50 but I think he can get up the ground as well.

So far all 4 of the KPP we selected have shown they are upto AFL level and not overawed by the level
get 50-70 games and 2 more preseasons into them and they are all going to become good players and hopefully GUN players

Absolutely love this kid! No longer do we have key forwards that have no heart, or don't want to put their bodies on the line. Faull, Armstrong, Sims all compete hard. Jonty in particularly loves the rough stuff. Will be an absolute jet.

With Faull, Armstrong and Simms we have the key pillars. Still a lot of work to do but fairly confident at least two of them make it. Think they have all shown the correct early signs.

Super clean follow up work. Where Lynch would bobble it around and loose the handle on it when trying to gather Faull just one touch gathers and finds an outside target. Cracks in hard and is no lumbering giant. Love him.
