Getting some love on the AFL Website in the 9 things we learnt article:

6) This Tiger looks to have a big future ahead

Richmond draftee Jonty Faull has played every game since making his debut during Gather Round, but the young forward announced himself properly on Saturday night during a third-quarter onslaught against West Coast. After six goals in 13 games, Faull produced a brilliant quarter at Optus Stadium, booting the opening goal after marking under pressure and slotting a second halfway through the term from a long set shot. He could have had a third but was selfless in setting up Tyler Sonsie in the goal square, but still ended the quarter with four score involvements and four marks, and finished the game with three goal assists. Pick No.14 in last year's draft, the Tigers overlooked some other quality talls to secure the 195cm youngster. They should have no regrets, with the athletic, competitive and clean forward showing he has the potential to be a future star. – Nathan Schmook

Could be a sneaky chance for a Rising star Nomination this week, only really Riley Hardeman from Nth and Ashton Moir had games that could be ahead of him.

Doubt he will get it as I reckon Moir’s 4 goals will get it but Jonty is really starting to find his feet the last couple weeks.

Throw a full preseason into him and next year could see him kick 20-30 for the year.

We need to let this guy develop as naturally as possible (whatever that means).

One thing that stood out (again) to me on Saturday night was his running. He isn't just running up and back, he is often really running, he just keeps going. He is an 18 year old 195cm key forward yet he has the tank of a midfielder. It is an unbelievably potent weapon.

Add to that the fact that he competes in both the air and at ground level (and genuinely competes) and has a cannon leg, we have a real beauty here.

Wait till he starts clunking the marks he flies for more often.

Pretty stoked with Jonty.

Even crazier, he missed half the pre season with his back issue.

Salty Eagles fans reckon we didn't have any decent kids on the weekend in our win over them LOL

Faull 2 goals and 7 score involvements, yet they are raving about how we overlooked Shanahan who had 6 disposals 1 goal, same as Sims. LOL
Tom brown says hello. Tom sims, Trezise, Trainor, Campbell, Taj. Harry Armstrong and Sam Lalor will say hi next time too.

We had about 7 verterans, handfull of 3rd+ year players and kids.

They also said they wouldn't split pick 3 for Liam Baker.

So forgive me for dismissing their thoughts on any matters relating to other clubs :D

There was one play against Adelaide where he either marked or had a free inside D50, kicked long to the wing where we marked and he just bolted and he was ready for the next 50m kick down the line on our F50 lol, incredible tank

Right he hasnt kicked that or come close to looking confident in front of goal.

He was taken ahead of other forwards becuase of the 'crash the pack trait" and that where some coaches have though the game is going. I think it is headed towards more of what the dogs, crows and catas are doing all those teams have clutch goal kickers.

Right now Shanahan has shown more in 2 games of AFL than jonty has in 12 which is concerning. can he turn it around? sure but comparing him to reiwoldt or other forwards taken around his mark in other drafts ... it dosent look good
Congratulations
Probably one of the worst observations of a player on this boards history.

Geez! Some here have absolutely no clue!

It's just so easy to look at his scoring 5.13 and say that his kicking isn't up to it. Take a deeper dive and note that 9 of those behinds have come from shots outside the 50m arc.

Make no mistake! We have a weapon here that very few clubs can match. To be able to roost a ball from outside 50 and have it sail over the fence is forward gold, it's extremely hard to defend that sort of player, not to mention the other attributes that he brings with his game.

I've said it before, but a simple re-alignment of his body to allow his kicking leg to follow through towards the target is all that's required to increase his accuracy. Time, practice and good coaching will rectify that.
No realignment needed.Kicked clutch goals as a Junior.
The only difference is the speed of the game at afl level.
2 more pre seasons he'll have that sorted.
