Jacobs surely has to be dropped. It will be interesting to see if Wright makes his way back into the team.
Doubt either of these will happen. Jacobs was picked up for a reason and Sammy needs to earn his stripes.

Good selection. Looked decent in the VFL and built up a good base at GC last year. Kicking looks improved.

A mix of McMahon, Atley, Mullett, Hine gives us a small-medium defensive group to potentially cover different opponent types and each with the ability to assist upfield if required.

And to think we have another Taylor as an emergency.

For now he joins the list of unique given names (not counting varied spelling or abbreviated names) of North Melbourne players. The other are
Alastair, Angelo, Ashley, Athol, Barnie, Basil, Beres, Blake, Brenton, Byron, Cairo, Callum, Carl, Chad, Clem, Clive, Cruize, Cyril, Dal, Damien, Digby, Dinny, Dion, Djaran, Drew, Dudley, Duncan, Dylan, Edgar, Evan, Gareth, Garmah, Grant, Greg, Hamish, Hector, Ivor, Jeremy, Joel, Jose, Julian, Kasey, Keenan, Kent, Kieran, Kristian, Kym, Lachlan, Levi, Lloyd, Luke, Malcolm, Marcus, Mario, Milton, Mo, Mowbray, Murray, Orm, Oscar, Ossy, Robin, Roger, Rohan, Roland, Rupert, Saverio, Todd, Trent, Troy, Vic, Viv, Warwick, Wellesley, Winston, Wolfgang, Xavier

The italic ones are current players - too easy
The bold one are all players in the AFL era (1990 onwards)
Some of the others are pretty famous - but most aren't!

We've never had a Bort?

Garmah Jones of course. Played one game against St.Kilda in 1936.
Our sixth straight loss for the year. It was probably the depression era BF brigade that hounded the selection committe into naming Garmah for his debut that week, then immediately called for him to be dropped the following week, never to disgrace the jumper again.

Also curious fact - that St Kilda side was coached by Danni Minogue.
