Hmmmm which part is wrong

Let’s go to the tape and see who performed better in 2024

Ave per game

Goals - Darling
Possessions - Darling
Marks - Darling
Tackles - Darling
Hit Outs - Teakle
Goal assists - Darling
Frees for - Darling
Frees Against - darling
Marks inside 50 - Darling
Score invl - Darling
Metres Gained - Darling
Tackles inside 50 - Darling

So sure, if you’re basing your call on hit outs and frees against, teakle is your man.
Theres 4 fifths of **** all separating em. Brynn is 25 and Darling is 35. Brynns numbers will improve again. So its not a settled debate. Theres a stat in there for TOG% Darling at 92% TOG and Teakle 70% .. They’re the numbers he produced at 92% game time? The bloke is ****ing cooked. Give up

When you say darling is 35, do you actually mean 32………

Or doesn’t matter

He was at the AFLW Granny and I was really impressed to see him there but also he stayed right until the end.

Didn’t leave on the siren or before the presentations.
He’s really buying in to the club and you have to hand it to him and respect him for that.

I'm starting to think you don't rate Jack Darling...

Starting? 2 disastrous trades this year. The darling one and our future first. Brain dead

All you need to say, (and all of us who want to make such black and white statements) to make this and previous such posts, read a little bit better/acceptable, is to add these three simple words.

"In my opinion".

No one can argue with that, because it is your opinion, which you are absolutely entitled to.

Just as they can argue back, if it is their opinion, whatever they wish. We are all entitled to our opinions.

Is that your opinion? You should specify, because it sounds like you think you are stating facts.

He'll compete.

I think the 4 we got during trade eon will all go when it is their turn.

I have way way less issue from a high level getting blokes in who will jump and put it on the line for the club.

what it does do though is place more questions on why we did not do this in 2023 when we had a glut of draft capital and we spent it on blokes who have specialities in turning their shorts brown.

If getting Darling in can sort out our dysfunctional forward line, it doesn't matter that he's old or that he is cooked. This is also not a role that a 25 year old Teakle would be able to play much less a raw as botulism Maley could either.

My prediction is that Darling assists Zurhaar to have his best season yet.

Neither of them are the future of our forward line. Darling is going to provide more structure in the short term, which is what we need. Neither will be on the list in 2027.

I've seen enough of Brynn. He'll get the occasional cheeky goal, a few 10 touch games, but he's not AFL standard.

Do you know how many times he worked his arse off to be alone inside 50 with 30m of space and our half forwards are that oblivious completely burned him?

Jack isnt providing shit. Worst pick up ever.

We dont have Kennedy, we have Darling. Remember that. He aint shit.

Wager?

Maybe my post was too subtle or confusing.

Basically every post on here is an opinion. Whining about someone not prefacing their opinion by saying it is an opinion is really silly.

Very good. Not much on in your life at present, hey?

BTW, don't bother replying because I'll just ignore it anyway

We should have collected a second round pick along with this washed up slug. You dont know how trading works if you think pick 67 isnt worth anything.

Are you Dodoro's alt account?

You do post in a way I expect Adrian would post ... winning Bigfooty one post at a time ...

FYI

Pick 67 is worth just a little bit more than a pinch of sh*t ... in fact, maybe less.

We traded out pick 67 (which was Essendon's 4th rounder - as if you didn't know Adrian ;) ) ... and it ended up being on-traded and eventually used as pick 68!

cool story. Clubs package up picks like that. For us freeing up their cap, we should have received a better deal. A pick with that washed up rubber chested squib. We’ll see, he’ll do nothing and have no impact. Fleeced once again

I’ll wager 30-1 that he gets it done.

They’re all the same. There is no way Jack Darling will kick more than 20 goals.
It depends on what kinds of season we have
.
I'm predicting we soar to the dizzying heights of 10-14. We have a wealth of talent, many of whom have had sufficient time in the system to make it click.

I also reckon Darling'll be in our top 5 goal kickers.

Some non-finals teams, like Adelaide, had 5 forwards who scored more than 20 goals last year.

Fremantle had six.

Others, like St Kilda, only had 3. Essendon had two.

I think the key contributions Darling will make are pressure, leadership, experience and structure in our forward line.

But I think there's a good possibility our team gets its shit together enough to give him a goal a game.
