How we feel about Darling now is probably exactly how West Coast felt about Petrie in 2017. Darling will be 33 this year and Petrie was almost 35 when he went to West Coast in 2017. Dish only played the 1 season but he was arguably a better player at the Eagles compared to his last couple of seasons with us. Hopefully Darling remains equally as reinvigorated and still has another 2-3 years left in him.

In terms of influence, I think that Darling has been North’s best traded recruit of the last twenty years.

Sure Higgins was AA, but in terms of the way he has transformed our forward line through selfless and defensive feats, releasing and protecting Larkey, to the way his inclusion has unlocked PC and Zurhaar, he has been utterly brilliant.
