Basically the story line goes:
- Has a “minor” partial tear PCL injury late August last year.
- Club opt take the less invasive rest/rehab/no surgery approach
- Expect Will to be ready start of pre-season 2018 (see below)

- Will has issues prior to Christmas when he starts training.
- Hardly trains Jan/Feb during pre-season
- Increases load in March and suffers a setback with inflammation and bone bruising.
- Late April after more rest starts training again and experienced a lot of pain. Scans determined he has a stress fracture in his tibia (see link below)

- Early July ruled out for rest of the season for unknown reason!

Hopefully he’ll be ready to go day one of pre-season 2019.

A real shame because he really could have got some valuable game time this year.

He'll be right.

This time off will help him build his body on the side and be more ready than ever on his return to footy.

Geez frustrating run of issues that seem to have cascaded off one another.

Smart move to get some extended time for rest and resetting.

Imagine when he and Scott start flying next year. Media will lose their mind. The rebuild is real. The future is now.

What’s Will’s endurance like?

I ask as otherwise he’d be more suited to a half forward role if his endurance ain’t top notch. Which isn’t to say a modern half forward doesn’t have to cover the ground... But Garner is an example of more of an ‘impact’ half forward that Will might be. Although Wood and Turner are great endurance runners. Brown too... Zeibs not so - but less up forward these days.

Froggy can run out a game on the wing. Therefore not sure they’d be in competition for spots?... That’s my main point I suppose.

What’s Will’s endurance like?

Probably not too flash at the moment.

He was only playing ~60% TOG when he got injured, and he'll no doubt take a while to come to hand, but I have seen no endurance issues when he was playing in the VFL.
