Would love to see Turner step up this year in a big way. Love what he brings to the table, but would really like to see him progress into a 30 goal a year forward.

You can't question his defensive abilities, but if he wants to take his game to the next level he really needs to get his hands on the footy on a more consistent basis. Not more sub 10 possession games.

Agreed but he's not that far away. Ave 1.1 goals a game last year. That's 24 for the season across 22 games. Ave 12 disposals a game as well. A small step up will see him 15 touches and 1.5 goals a game

What can we expect from Kayne this year? He's a peculiar case in modern footy as his impact doesn't necessarily translate to the stats sheet. He is clearly a high IQ footy player, quick, good skills, and really, really hard at it - these qualities qualitatively should mean he has potential to be a star. Can he go into the midfield? Seems to me that a Patch Adams-type player where he gets it 15-20 times a game, 1-2 goals and more score involvements, great pressure is his ceiling?

Work, work, guts and more work. This is how he must be judged. When the opportunities bob up he will also get goals.

As for Patch, he also had genuine midfield ability. A different player to Kayne.
