Just the reason why the stupid kid left the island, like come on. And I don't quite understand the reason for the initial trip over there, just to kill a few and come on back?

The entire storyline should have been overhauled. And more character development/stuff happening on the island.

Interesting.

I felt like they left to see if they could help his Mum get better after his world kind of got shattered realising that his dad isn't the all conquering honourable man he thought he was. And I think the initial trip is that yeah, seemed like a rite of passage sort of thing for a young man to do, showing that the undead are looked and treated of as not human, animal like creatures with no soul, in contrast with how Ralph Finnes character saw them.

We see it in crappy horror movies when the characters make stupid decisions that put themselves in danger. But this plot revolved around a whole town being stupid. What was the point of sending a young boy to the mainland where he might be killed or infected? If he doesn't come back, no-one is allowed to find him. Why?

I think it would have worked better if the main character was not allowed to leave the island. But then found out there was a cure for the disease or a loved one so was compelled to act.

I finally got around to seeing this, I caught one of the last sessions still showing at the cinemas here.

I wish I could say it was worth the wait but it wasn't really all that great, it was more like 28 Weeks Later than 28 Days Later.

There were a few great scenes but the storyline didn't make much sense, why leave the island when the mainland was infected.

I guess it would have been a pretty boring film if they had just stayed on the island though and never ventured to the mainland.

I have to give a shout out to Alfie Williams too, an incredible performance from the young lad to carry that film as well as he did.

New trailer for Bone Temple

I dont love the director for this one but this has got me pumped. Hopefully Garlands script does the heavy lifting.

Love this line in the trailer
"What's yer name?"
"Spike"
"Nah i think its.....jimmy" :D

The Bone Temple. 2026.

Yeah baby, this is more like it.

The plot seamlessly blends the story of Spike, the Jimmys and Dr Ian Kelson. The pacing is good. There are no wasted scenes and a few that are excellent. Ralph Fiennes and Jack O'Connell put in great performances. Visually, it's a treat. The soundtrack is a nice mixture of foreboding classical style and needle drops.

7/10
