Should we drop him? bring in Currie? whats your opinion? Play Daw in the Ruck full time?
I would be interested to see what Daw could do in a whole game as the main Ruck. No doubt he would need a chop out, but 60-70% game time as Ruckman might really let him off the leash a bit more. He certainly held his own in the hit outs. And he would definitely have more opportunity to get out in space and run.

He would blow up after the first quarter

Stop blowing wind up his backside and say he's untradeable would be a start.........I personally like to see some accountability from the goldstone. I know he was up against NN and Cox last week but his form is more concerning to me rather than Petrie's.

Goldstein's rucking has been sound, needs to pull his finger out around the field though.

He is a massive unit but has no idea how to use his size to some sort of advantage, appears limp too often.

Crucial part of future success (if there is one) though no doubt.

I hope Goldy turns his form around tbh....because he's done SFA apart for the Brisbane game. And the media is potting Drewy ffs.
And Nic Nats stats compare favourably to Goldy this year and yet Nic Nat needs to lift and Goldy's having a good year. Go finger.

2 more seasons and he is the games record holder. If this season is anything to go by, should be a shoe in. Still a match winner in every sense.

What i dont want to occur is him playing his last 15-20 games as the sub. You can only imagine the likes of Healy, Commetti, McGuire, Derwayne and the rest of them cock pullers always bringing up how he 'limped over the line', 'lets be honest, without the sub rule, Tuck still holds the record', 'aided by the sub rule' and finally 'was lucky to get there, lets be brutally honest'

Mind you, when he does become a full time sub, he'll take Gia's 'super sub' label to a whole new dimension!

He's still the most damaging player in our team.

I think he gets due praise from the media, while they obsess over his age he is getting pumped up this season, and so he should.

Great thread, enjoy every game of his because I think we will dearly miss him when he hangs the boots up. Let's hope it's a few seasons yet!

Yep , privileged to be witnessing Boomers career alright. I was watching a replay of a North v Hawks game from '97 and it was mentioned in the call that it was Boomers third game. He did what was to become the classic dodge weave dodge Boomer goal but what was really memorable from that game (apart from a shocker of a 90's haircut) ,was when he parked himself under a high ball with three Hawk goons running at him, we'll the little guy didn't take his eyes off the ball or even flinch and took a chest mark as the Hawk players comically crashed into each other and fell over. Great player.
