I think the sub needs to be a bit more versatile than just a small mid/forward. Also I think the sub role is a good opportunity to blood the kids. It'll be gone next year anyway thank gawd. Hopefully next year will be the one where other players (Cunners, Dal, Atley) start copping the tag and stepping up in the key games and allowing Boomer to be the cream rather than the cake.

Because he will be 37 next year and is our best player and so i am interested in preserving him for as long as possible. Btw where did I ever state he will or should play only 1 quarter a week?
Sorry mate, I have no idea what you said. I stopped reading after you proposed the best player at the club start as a sub every week.

He played so well last year after a 6 week layoff. I honestly think he should start SUB 3 or 4 times to keep him fresh and hungry. Every week would be a bit silly and would also restrict scotts intentions with other playing coming back in etc. I think if he plays let's say (inc finals) 20/21 games next year. Starting as sub 3-5 times would be a really smart thing to do particularly in the lead up to finals OR against bottom ranked teams where a smashing is potentially on the cards.

Bringing off a tiring tall and bringing on a hyped up super quick boomer is how the sub works effectively.

Good common sense post.

He did play very well after his 6 week layoff last year, however he's had an even better overall season this year playing out the vast majority of the season.

I thought he was disappointing in the finals and also towards the end of the season - his start and middle were great but dropped off.

They would have made mention of him but he had a red x of doom next to his name.

Shun
Shun. That word reminds me of this piece of brilliance from Michael Keaton in Night Shift.

Speaking of Briswhine, has anybody else noticed that we're now over 1,000 posts ahead of them? Jeeze...amazing how their posts all dried up once they couldn't post things like postcodes, complaining about what we were posting about here, and other miscellaneous stuff.

Ooops...almost forgot.....
We used to have a rivalry with "Briswhine"? Have they even cracked a million posts yet?
