Where the hell did that come from? Let alone in a finals game.

17 disposals at 94%, 10 marks, including 6 intercept marks, 8 rebound 50's, and kept Darling fairly quiet.

Strong performance to end a very good year.

Essendon's "specimen" and the least glamorous of the boys.

Has shown his importance to the side over the years and am forever happy he's a Don.

Must be on the verge of 100 senior games now.

Nah.

I'm faultless.

Blame his body.
You made me say the number of games he was on, which just so happens to be the unluckiest number in Australian sport!

So yes, your fault.

Just by way of some vague detail confirmation..
The only sour note to the game was the loss of key defender Patrick Ambrose to an injury sustained in a marking contest in the opening term. The 28-year-old will be sent for scans and essendonfc.com.au will provide an update on the tough backman in due course.

Shitty news, our best defensive stopper by some margin.

Silver lining is the fact it creates space for BZT who we need to get games into.
Couldn’t fit him in with Hurley, Francis and Ambrose all available.

Hooker can play forward most weeks but may have swing back occasionally to play on a gorilla type.

Could be most of the year if he needs surgery.
