Blew out a bit in the end which was inevitable but still some good signs in the first 3 qtrs, particularly from youngsters like Cerra and Banfield. Hopefully we'll have a proper ruckman next week in addition to Harley Bennell's season debut.

Also, Lachie has worked so hard on his overhead skills, very impressive given his height.

and we beat them easily. They are woeful. One of the oldest teams in the comp only just got on top of the the 2nd youngest team in the comp at their home ground. To think how many spuds we had playing today.

Sutty's been decent. Much better than Sherro / Tucker. Those 2 need to go, McCarthy needs to go before them.

Delist McCarthy now. Don't wait for season end. Thank goodness he only cost us a second round pick.

All round good effort if you ask me. Still some fundamental turnovers but to be expected with a young side. We had Jonno, Jones, Sutty, playing..none of whom would get a game anywhere else. Lachie stood head and shoulders above every one else agin.

Has Cam McCarthy ever won a one on one contest? That effort against Goddard in the last killed off any slim chance we had in the game. He constantly loses any one out contests he’s in, which is obviously not the sort of trait you want in a forward.

Is his core strength not good enough to hold his ground, does he need special coaching focusing on this?? It’s doing my head in.

I get that comment, honestly I do and it makes sense structurally too, but he needs to earn his games. He's playing with no confidence, looks unfit and is basically a liability out there.
