Player Watch #29: Shai Bolton - What an absolute jet!

I can't believe how few posts there are about Shai. There should be at least 10 pages debating the way his first name is pronounced!

Seriously though - if you were an opposition fan, Shai getting a possession forward of centre is one of those moments when you involuntarily say "oh no" to yourself, because something is about to happen. He is just so dangerous in the front half of the ground. Creative, a high leap, fearless, impossible to tackle and takes his chances.

Our #1 priority over the summer is extending his deal by another two years. With a few dollars freeing up in the salary cap, we should be able to afford to keep him. We certainly can't bring in another mid on $800k when Shai is only getting $600k.

Really like the way Dimma spoke about him in his presser. Knows his offensive game is elite, but can slack off in the defensive side at times. Cleans that up a bit and he’s a bona fide superstar, top 20 player in the Comp

Love this guy. A smaller, faster more manoeuvrable version of Dusty. Club has developed him brilliantly.
