I’d like to know how anybody with a semi functional brain even looks at Shai and thinks it’s pronounced “shy”
take off the "s" and put a "c" there and pronounce that name of a latte... then just replace the sound of "c" with "s" at the start... simple, I'd have thought... but if the bloke says it's "shay" I'll call him that and so should anybody else who finds this fact out.

Realistically he would sign now if we offered him a deal too good to refuse.

If we have the salary room, I would be paying him a bit on potential as well he has improved rapidly the last 2 seasons.

Realistically that’s NOT how RC has handled contract negotiations for his clients in the past
Travis Cloke
Dustin Martin
And shai last time he Re signed

Two top ten picks. Draft picks are overrated. Bolton is our second best player and will only get better.
Don't shoot the messenger.

I'm just saying that's what his value would be, he certainly isn't worth 3 first rounders with what Geelong sold the farm for Cameron.

Cameron is six years older than Bolton. Would be filthy if we lost him for one top ten pick. Saad went for that.

The twist to this is that the biggest offers are unlikely to come from WA, WC most certainly wouldn’t have room to table an above market offer and Freo have a very good emerging list and under new stewardship less likely to do anything erratic though with cerra a chance to split they would have some space to play . I’d expect the crazy offers closer to home, think Ess, blues or NM . He’ll milk these offers for all they’re worth and then re sign with the tigers

West Coast made a promise to their players that they wouldn't go after a big salary recruit in order to negotiate the Covid pay cut
