The whole day i was expecting our batters to put up a fight... no idea why i expected that, guess it's ingrained in me from the good old days.

The modern team (bar siddle harris clarke) are piss hearts

Glenorchy, Arsenal,
IMO time for the following over 30’s to go
Watson, Rogers, Haddin.
The under 30’s Phil Hughes technic is flawed not up to test level
If we going to be an embarrassment chuck younger guys in we might find someone for the next few years the above trio are on the downhill slope.
I remember the dark times of the early to mid Eighties those batsmen were world beaters compared to our current top six.

Not sure Hughes can survive in the test team - he might need to do a Hayden and go back to shield cricket for 5-6 years to rebuild his game.

This is a shambles.

Got found out the first time against sort pitched bowling, has come back in and clearly has no idea against spin.

Its time we stopped carrying these spud nsw batsmen, rogers can go with them. Time to replace the top 7 , clarke can play home tests since he is as useless as the rest of them overseas.

Put in the under 19's, give them some games against decent bowlers on all surfaces before they become flat track bullies like the rest of our batsmen.
lol ok. I'm sure we have many batsmen who could've averaged 47 in India.

I like it.

This has been us for the last few years - we don't have Hussey or Ponting to sporadically make us look better.
This is definitely a new low. Sure there's been a decline, but in the last few years we've won test series against India and Sri Lanka, and the series against South Africa really could've gone either way. Even on the Indian tour there was at least some character shown. This batting display has been utterly devoid of fight, or belief.
