2nd COVID breach for Sydney Stack

Bet they dont.

Plenty of young kids out there just as talented without the bad attitude.

Especially now with list sizes coming down.

Stack out Egg-Mosses back in is my call. Was surprised to see the Egg delisted as he looked pretty good in a couple of games last season.

Is there any suspended sentence carrying over from the in season breach? Would think the AFL may consider deregistering Stack. He obviously cant be trusted so why would the AFL risk another breach potentially derailing the competition next season. The AFL needs to keep state governments on side and to date a small group of players and officials have erroded the AFL's credibility.

Well past time that the AFL made tough call and make an example out of a player. 10 weeks obviously wasnt harsh enough.
The egg man was let go because he was soft as.........! A shame because his kicking and vision was excellent.

But Sydney Stack is a ‘STAR’. Thats how they described him on the news over the weekend
He is a star. Best player from the 2017 draft ,was 2nd favourite for the rising star until injured.
He can do it all, take pack marks, kick goals, tackle and bump and elite skills.
He's the complete package football ability wise.

Short of providing a full time chaperone with the power to detain him if he ignores instructions, what do you suggest the AFLPA (or club for that matter) could do to help?

Sydney Stack is an adult and is entitled to make adult decisions. He now faces adult consequences.

At his age, its worth another effort is all I'm saying. No club gets it perfectly right, its an industry thing & why the PA should be involved.
He will face the legal consequences as he must.

Maybe the AFLPA could job share the role with clubland for WA, someone like Chance Bateman or Troy Cook, Des Headland. Are Sharrod Wellingham or Andrew Krakouer available? My mob have Ash Sampi involved currently.

Who ever knows what makes the penny drop.

He has had plenty of other incidents that have nor been reported in the media.

He is not a Scumbag murderer or some other kind of fiend, but at this stage, he is too immature and not responsible enough to have a pro AFL career.

He needs to go back to the WAFL for a couple of years, grow up and work on his party lifestyle and his alcohol addiction issues, and then hopefully have another crack at AFL footy in 2023.

It might be the best thing to happen to him as a player and a person long term actually.

and your source for all this?

LOL. He is not a "star" and never will be.

Stack wasn't drafted in 2017 and in fact was overlooked by ALL clubs in the 2018 Draft "due to concerns over his fitness, dedication to training standards and continual brain fades"

He is talented enough to be one, but the mental side isn’t there for him.

Depends how you define "Star" really.

In the sense of being a person who is reasonably well know (which is pretty much the criteria for tv/movie stars), he'd be a fair shot at it. (he's a LOT better known than many regular players after all).

In terms of being one of the best players in the game, clearly not.

There is also the not insubstantial detail that the media will call anyone a star if it adds to the sensationalism of their 'reporting' and get more clicks.

That was my initial point. The minute an AFL footballer does something bad they are described as a star by the media

And he's already building his defense.

He allegedly left the self quarantine address for cultural reasons.

Wonder if he got on the piss and punched on for cultural reasons too?

WOW....sounds like GOAT............

Possesses vision and poise far beyond his years. That's what makes it difficult, perhaps along with the club's ties to Korin Gamadji and government funding for the Punt Rd redevelopment. And maybe being too proud to admit failure.

However the club cut Dan Connors to its betterment and the same principle must apply here, without fear or favour. Let him earn another chance in the local leagues if that's what he wants.

Why would a stretch in the WAFL do anything, just asking !

Stack had a very rough upbringing, and seems to not be smart enough to break the poor habits he formed as a result of being shipped around from home to home during his adolescence. No true supports in broken homes whilst being surrounded by bad influences tends to put kids down a bad path. Many people break the shackles of their upbringing, but some just can’t do that; sometimes it’s out of their control, but other times (like Sydney) they’re almost it seems like people are simply too stupid to comprehend how self-destructive they are. A high-paying job in the 20’s could be leveraged to set him (and his future family) up for life, away from all of the same issues he dealt with as a child, but he seems to have let this slip.

It’s sad
