Having also moved from Melb to WA, there was no choice in the matter that I consider WCE as a second team. Freo?! Pffft! That club was born a loser, and still is...

Also, to keep the peace at home, the wife goes for WCE, so yeah - Go WCE in WA, GO TIGERS everywhere!

I have a soft spot for Melbourne because my Dad used to play for them and my Mum has always been an avid supporter. They met one another while Dad was in his playing days so it worked out well for me because I exist.

May I ask who that player was? And how did you become a Crows supporter (assuming you've lived in Melbourne all your life)?

Essendon would be my second favourite team maybe because I know a lot of people in this area that follow them. They seem like the 'local' team. Have always liked their players such as Alessio, Hird, Thompson, plus have had an interesting recent history - prelim losses by a point, an almost unbeaten year in 2000 and plus Sheeds is a great character, They never really threatened us or got in our way while we were at the top in either - eg in '97, and in '04.

I also like the Bulldogs. I noticed Richmond and Hawthorn are near the top due to their poor finish last year.

Dont really have a second fav team, but i would say any team that isnt vic is up there and as for vic teams my fav would be the saints because they have been the underdogs their whole life span and never played good football bar one or two seasons, yet they seem to still have loyal supporters and are finacially well off under the cercumstances.
