I would say better than ok, he looked right at home with the boys just had the occasional panic turnover. He knows were to move to on the field and generally has good disposal. Gun of a rookie i reckon

Macca kicking out to a Fletcher,Mal,Hille,Laycock or Lucas...one of them should mark it
Maybe with the young mids coming through, McVeigh is finally going to be left alone to play the position he is fantastic as - the small shut down defender. In which case he would be a good guy to have a the one kicking out.
