No Nablett. Hansen and Greenwood were eligible but not named. Gibson, however, is back after a few months in the AFL. I see you've brought back Murdoch as well.

B: Cameron Eardley, Tom Gillies, George Burbury
HB; Jordan Murdoch, Andrew McLean, David Wojcinski
C: Shannon Byrnes, Troy Selwood (c), Simon Hogan
HF: Jonathan Simpkin, Joshua Walker, Jackson Sheringham
F: Dominic Gleeson, Mitch Brown, Jordan Schroder
R: Orren Stephenson, George Horlin-Smith, Jesse Stringer
I/C: (from) Dawson Simpson, Shane Kersten, Jed Bews, Ryan Bathie, Jack Hollmer, Mark Corrigan, Joel Hamling, Robert Condy, Darcy Holden (23rd player).

Pretty strong side if a guy who kicked 5 goals last week can only make the bench.

Hasn't made it yet, but you'd think he'd be safe. :thumbsu: With a bit of luck we should play the ground a bit better this week, particularly our delivery inside 50. Kersten was unsighted here a fortnight ago, will be a good test for him in such an important game. Hope he gets a few kicks as it's a joy to watch, love to see him unload at etihad the following week ;)

I'd rather Sully than Holden at 23rd, but I can understand it's best for his draft prospects that he plays in the Young Guns game instead this week.

Would think Condy Hamling and Hollmer will drop off that bench, and the last spot I'm not sure. Really want Corrigan in, but don't particularly want Bews or Bathie to miss out. Tough call.

Simpkin in really strengthens the side.

GO CATS!

Just noticed our friend Sully hasn't even been named.

He's playing in the Young Guns curtain raiser game instead-this is an annual game featuring some of the brighter prospects in the vfl, putting themselves on show for recruiters etc.

Surely he could have a sore knee or an ingrown toenail or something. Doe's he really need to be out , pulling up the curtain .. If the club has seen enough to draft him , then why would we put him on show?

Does anyone know if my AFL Geelong home game membership allows me to purchase a ticket for this Prelim Final at a discounted rate? Or do I have to pay full admission price?

I was wondering if the boys had held off mad monday celebrations until the VFL team finished.
And they have.
Bloody good that they decided to do it.

Has to be good for club unity.

Absolutely and you'd expect nothing less from this group. Just one of the differences between a club like ours and NM, whose players are still playing for werribee. Our cars are safe out the front of ClubCats, at least for a week or two ;)

How is Gibson eligible? Good player, how many AFL games?

That's a bloody good team.

Awesome half backline, will be exciting to watch Murdoch & Wojak running out of defence and it's a relatively experienced team across the board with I think 11 of them having played AFL footy this season.

I thought it was a player has to have played 7 VFL/Development games and no more than 12 AFL games.Strange that Gibson is playing then.
Its also if you have missed 8 weeks through injury or something.
