Nah, Fagan is a good bloke. He needs to deflate any thinking about us being unbeatable - not an easy task going up against a side that's won the last 2 of 3 flags and has beaten his side every time for over a decade. The stat stuff is part of building belief

Agreed, the other key differences being that there's no salt involved and he has to constantly talk up a young side within the flakiest AFL market in the land.

He and everyone else at the Brions would be all too aware of the massive drop-off in support which immediately followed their last successful era.
