KINGS!!!!!!!!!

I went to the game last night and the atmosphere was fantastic, especially when Heal was raining those threes in the 3rd quarter. Ent Cent is definately the best place for the Kings.

As for the game, the two new imports look very good. Williams showed some very sweet moves in the paint, while Franklin showed ran the point well (just don't mention the air dunk). Didn't see much of Sheridan as he got into foul trouble early.

The one main worry is the lack of rebounding power, especially when Nielsen starts at center. The Hawks got plenty of offensive boards, which might have hurt us if Heal wasn't knocking them down from the car park. Campbell was on fire for the Hawks.

And what happened to Rodney O?! That new court announcer just plain sucked. Just kept reading off a piece of paper, and had NFI which player was whom.

BRING ON THE PIGS!

Unitl Lauren Jackson is no longer the most masculine basketballer in Canberra, NBL titles will elude the Cannons.

The Caps maybe sitting 0 and 2, but they will win the WNBL.

As for the Cannons, most teams are going to have problems with them this year. It's only early I know, but I can't remember a team that spreads it scoring so evenly as the Cannons are doing. 6 players are average 10ppg or better, 7 against Adelaide scored in double figures and we only had 8 players for the game. We have 7 players on the Roster over 2 metres, and two of them we are using as guards. Our defence and rebounding is improving with each game. This team is on the improve and will surprise everybody this year, and IMO, with a little luck can win it.

Hey Devo,
Saw the Cannons for the first time this year on Saturday.
Cannons problem is their guards. More to the POINT (haha, i'm so funny!) they need some help for Bruton. They played a majority of the game with CJ as the only guard on the floor and the sixers never double teamed or pressed him for the whole game. Don't know what the omnipient one was thinking there. Can't see how Canberra are going to get away with that for the whole season.

However, the Cannons are a better team than they were last year and are one of the teams in the mix for the last 2 play-off spots.

p.s. what happened to George Banks??

The Cannons second guard switches between Chappell (6'9"), Thomas (6'7") and Mann. All three produced double figure scoring, and Thomas also pulled down about 12 rebounds.
After the game, Cal said it was the Cannons worst performance of the year, so far, but he was happy the guard rotation was starting deliver.

If Cal's happy, I'm happy.:)
